John joined Point Group bringing more the 30 years of financial services experience encompassing consulting, investment management and financial planning.
As our Chairman he provides strategic guidance, oversees our governance and connects us to our clients. John has spent his career in financial services, reflected in his positions of Private Asset Managers (PAM) Awards Judge; the Chair of the Private Banking and Wealth Management Special Interest Group at the Financial Services Forum; a Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. He is the founding partner of a consultancy advising family offices, trust companies and regulated investment and wealth managers.
Previously, John was the MD of Multi-Manager Investment Solutions for EMEA at Northern Trust in London. He also serves as an independent non-executive director on the boards of a series of investment funds.
Tom co-founded Point Group drawing on almost two decades of leadership experience as a strategic adviser, diplomat and soldier.
He leads on Point’s strategic direction, business development and relationship management.
In a career bridging the private and public sectors, Tom has gained significant international experience whilst building a strong ttrack recordin project delivery, risk management, leadership, entrepreneurism and strategic planning. Before Point, Tom founded and ran a European-based strategy consultancy focusing on the financial sector; prior to which he served as an Army Officer in a variety of theatres and as a diplomat at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He brings a wealth of experience advising senior leadership in business and government and leading on the delivery of complex outcomes.
He holds an MBA from Business School Lausanne; a BA (Hons) from the University of Nottingham; and was educated at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Mark co-founded Point Group building on 25 years of experience working in financial services. He heads Point project delivery, operations and maintains Point’s position at the forefront of applied financial technology.
Over his career, Mark has designed financial products, processes and platforms for a wide variety of financial sector businesses including international retail banks, boutique, specialist private client offices, retail investment and insurance providers. Clients have included Generali, Bank of New York, RBS, HSBC, First Data and Percana. He brings a unique perspective which enables him to identify innovative, cost-effective solutions built on a deep understanding of financial services, business organisational change, automation and technology. This has provided him with the skills to build an extensive successful delivery record in change programmes of up to £40m.
He holds a B.Sc. Hons (1st) from University College London.
Martin co-founded Point Group on the back of almost twenty years working at the forefront of financial technology. He is Point’s Chief Technology Officer and leads on product development and R&D.
Martin has developed financial technology platforms, products and propositions for existing and new markets. He has worked with a wide variety of institutions including retail and private banks, broker dealers, family offices and wealth managers on a broad range of financial products including funds, equities, lending, commodities and derivatives. Martin has worked on the technology sell side as a product and market owner and on the asset buy side as a technology leader for financial institutions; most recently as CTO of a listed advisory and asset management business (River and Mercantile Group). He has a track record of implementing strategies that streamline business processes, improve scalability, enhance delivery and increase revenue.
Martin holds an MA from Cambridge University.
June joined Point Group following more than 25 years of experience working in financial services. She works closely with clients to identify and advise them in their provision of the best solutions for managing their own clients’ assets.
June has worked with a wide variety of financial institutions including retail and investment banks and asset managers on a broad range of funds and products including equities, index strategies, exchange traded funds, listed investment trusts, property direct lending funds, and retail and institutional fund products. She has co-founded a successful fund management business managing US and European pension fund assets and currently sits on the boards of two listed investment trusts.
Henry joined Point Group bringing with him extensive experience and knowledge of the financial markets industry and advising asset managers, wealth managers, pension funds and banks on all aspects of foreign exchange.
Henry was Global Head of Foreign Exchange Client Relationships and Business Development at Brown Brothers Harriman with global responsibility for managing the FX sales team, providing advice and delivering solutions for all clients’ individual foreign exchange business requirements. Prior to this Henry was UK Head of Markets for Bank Julius Baer in London responsible for trading all financial market instruments on behalf of institutional and HNW clients.
Jon has 15 years of experience working in financial services. Over his career, Jon has held the position of Chief Operating Officer, as well as Group Head of Risk of a UK listed advisory and investment management firm. He has a proven track record of problem-solving and business building in dynamic and complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-product environments. Jon combines strategic planning and execution capabilities with substantial knowledge of risk management and financial regulation, toward commercial imperatives.
He holds an Executive MBA from Imperial College Business School, and is pursuing an LL.M in International Financial and Commercial Law at King’s College London, Dickson Poon School of Law. Most recently, he studied US business law at Columbia University Law School.
Karen leads on our DPO work through her consultancy Data Protection 4 Business with she founded to provide a variety of implementation services and training to support SME’s in meeting their responsibilities under the complex EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK Data Protection Act, which came into force in May 2018. With a background in Financial Services and Technology, Karen has over 20 years of business, change management and systems implementation experience in the UK, Europe, Australasia and the Caribbean.
Karen has been responsible for managing £5-10m change and regulatory projects embedding new technology, data and operational processes into a variety of Banks, Wealth Managers and SME’s. Awarded a Distinction in her MBA, Karen is a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). In addition, she holds practitioner certifications in: Programme Management (MSP); Project Management (PMP & Prince2) and formerly, the Institute of Banking. Karen is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and has published an academic study on learning from software projects.
